POSITION SUMMARY: This is a functional role (not an IT position) in the Finance Digital Transformation Office playing a key role working across Finance functional teams, the IT engineering organizations, and various business units. 75% of this role is business oriented whereas the other 25% is more technical. As an individual contributor, responsibilities include working with the IT team to understand scope, gain alignment on where Finance involvement is required, and to provide end-to-end process leadership to ensure overall company needs are met. This position will require strong cross-functional skills, effective change management skills, and the ability to concurrently drive multiple testing phases and projects to completion, for both major and minor releases. Within the Finance processes, the primary focus of this position is Finance Data Lake, Billing, Commerce and Quote to Cash processes. The primary systems in scope are Oracle BRM, Commerce, RevStream. Salesforce, Siebel and Oracle eBiz OM, AR and GL. The individual in this role must have comprehensive systems implementation and testing experience of financial systems, strong project management skills, and exceptional communication skills. This individual must have good business sense, be an independent thinker, be a driver, a team player and partner, be able to communicate clearly, work effectively with diverse groups, and be skillful with quantitative/qualitative analytical methodologies and tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Partner across various IT groups and business stakeholder groups to understand scope of releases across various platforms * Manage entrance and exit criteria for various testing phases, e.g. e2e testing, UAT * Work with IT teams to ensure the test scope coverage is complete and tests are correctly executed * Work with finance stakeholders to review the results of tests to ensure system is working as designed * Work with finance stakeholders to define their UAT scope, test cases, and execution of tests * Program management of key initiatives * Compile Testing Metrics (e.g. tracking, preparing, updating, etc.) * Tools (e.g. implementation of new tools and maintenance of existing tools for tracking program status, metrics, etc. – primarily JIRA and Aha) * Daily Status Reporting * Issue and Risk Tracking
DELIVERABLES: These are the deliverables this role is directly responsible for delivering: * Scope – This individual will partner across IT groups and business stakeholder groups to understand scope of releases across various platforms. This role works directly with the various business and functional stakeholders to understand where Finance involvement is required. * Test Coverage – The person will work with IT and Finance teams to ensure the test scope coverage is complete and tests are executed correctly. This role will work with process architects and Finance process owners to review results of tests to ensure system is working as designed. * Entrance & Exit of Testing Phases – It is critical for this person to manage entrance and exit criteria for various testing phases to ensure financial integrity and quality are built into the platforms. This person will work with stakeholders to ensure they are comfortable the system is performing as designed, prior to providing approval to release to production, and is responsible from removing roadblocks that prevent Finance from signing off on a test cycle. * Change Management and Communication – drive overall change management to Finance stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle development process with a goal of ‘no surprises’ for stakeholders; the ideal person for this role has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and can understand risk and business impact to make appropriate prioritization and tradeoff recommendations. * Program Management – for key initiatives, be able to manage a program, identify and report any risks or issues, and track all deliverables and dependencies across various teams * Project Management/Project Status – this person will be process oriented with the ability to drive process improvements where deemed necessary in service to creating dashboards to understand scope of work, report daily statuses, capture release over release metrics inclusive of data analytics, track issues and risks, and provide timely information to stakeholders and senior management.
