Dish Network Looking for Intellectual Property Paralegal at Englewood, Colorado Full Time

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As an Intellectual Property Paralegal in our in-house legal department, you will primarily be tasked with assisting the Intellectual Property team with a variety of patent prosecution duties and coordinating with outside counsel. In addition, you will provide support for trademark matters.

To be successful in this role, you will need two or more years of patent paralegal/assistant experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications such as Word/Docs and Excel/Sheets. Trademark experience is a plus. You will also need to multi-task effectively, adapt, and thrive in a busy, team-oriented, collegial environment.

Paralegal Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage a large U.S. and foreign patent portfolio and coordinate with numerous outside counsel.
• Oversee and manage patent portfolio deadlines in our docketing software – FoundationIP and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist in managing patent awards program and other patent projects.
• Assist in managing trademark portfolio.
• Assist with other IP projects as needed.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

• Two or more years of prior patent experience.
• Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved Paralegal Education Program, an associate’s degree in paralegal studies, or a bachelor’s degree.
• Must be able to manage time-sensitive projects and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Resourceful research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some working knowledge of Google Suite applications is desirable.

Salary Range

Compensation: $51,100.00/Year – $89,000.00/Year
