Managing Director of Financial Reporting, Senior Manager of Financial Reporting
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate the multiple processes in connection with the financial reporting of the Deloitte US Firms’ entities including presentation and coordination with multiple levels of management
Drive period, quarter and year-end close process, ensuring compliance with appropriate policies and accuracy of financial information for both external reporting and internal management reporting
Monitor and understand current changes in accounting standards (GAAP); communicate impact to management to ensure compliance with reporting requirements
Provide technical expertise in preparing GAAP compliant footnotes to financial statements and provide responses to technical accounting questions by accessing databases and formal accounting literature.
Provide key statistics to external reporting bodies including financial surveys.
Responsible for various analyses, ad-hoc reporting, and special reporting requests
Work with Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to develop and improve existing financial reporting processes and standards
Review account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness and participate in fringe benefits accounting and analysis
Assists with other operational aspects of Financial Reporting team including financial statement referencing, documentation and internal control support, testing of system enhancements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA or MBA achieved or in process
5 or more years of relevant experience
Position will have significant work complexity and requires a strong grasp of intermediate accounting principles
Experience with financial reporting, analysis, and consolidations
Strong technical aptitude relating to accounting systems; prior SAP preferred
Strong interpersonal communication skills are crucial as the position involves the ability to satisfy and influence various stakeholders, including senior management
Must be a team player, detail oriented with be able to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Travel Guidelines:
Ability to travel 0-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
