Birk designs and manufactures high-quality flexible heaters and thermal systems for use in medical devices, instrumentation, and diagnostic and semiconductor equipment.
We are looking to bring on an experienced Finance Manager at our facility in East Lyme, CT.
The Finance Manager is responsible for directing the financial activities related to the organization by analyzing the financial data and estimating future revenues and expenditures.
Primary responsibilities include:
Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closings
Produce P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements in compliance with US GAAP
Manage cash, liquidity, and banking arrangements
Oversee collection of accounts receivable and check processing of accounts payable
Responsible for administration of tax forms and liaising with external tax auditors
Review and oversee all contracts, agreements, and other legal filings, working with President
Create annual operating budget; analyze and manage financial status in relation to current budget and bank covenants
Maintain accurate standard costs for material and labor as well as assign manufacturing overhead to products, working in this regard with Operations team
You will be an excellent candidate if you have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5-7 years of overall financial experience, preferably within a manufacturing organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP functionality, and experience in MAS22 would be ideal

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 0-3 years of experience designing within a manufacturing facility. You are extremely familiar with and comfortable using AutoCAD and Solidworks.
