The Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the accounts payable and receivable processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor and customer records, including contact information and payment terms.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports, including aging reports, to management.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/customers to resolve any payment or billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounts payable and receivable processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an accounts payable/receivable clerk or similar role.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
