Job Title: Associate, Financial Accounting – Control & Treasury

Estimated Salary: $70,000 – $85,000

Job Summary:

Responsible for corporate accounting and analysis function of a publicly traded asset management firm. Contribute to the monthly and quarter-end close process, including consolidations and revaluation of non-US entities. Assist with the preparation of global regulatory reporting for domestic and foreign regulated entities. Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Prepare revenue and expense accruals, elimination and consolidation entries for multiple entities and various activities.
• Tracking of cash, investments and assets under management on a corporate level.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare analysis and complete other monthly general ledger closing procedures within the 5-day close period.
• Utilize general ledger accounting and reporting software to prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, including assets under management.
• Run fixed asset depreciation.
• Able to independently analyze financial data and provide explanations to management for variances between periods and business relationships.
• Act as a key contact with internal or external auditors.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
• 1 – 4 years of accounting experience in the asset management field or related financial services industry and/or public accounting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interact with management and individuals with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with accounting report-writing tools, as well as excel spreadsheet software (SAP and BPC preferred).
