Salary Range: $70k to $100k annually

The Director of Finance at CLEARFORK ACADEMY is responsible for Clearfork Academy’s current and long-term financial health and growth. The Director of Finance will be responsible for establishing strategies for increased revenue, creating and monitoring budgets, overseeing accounting operations, and producing accurate reports on Clearfork Academy’s financial health. Responsible for leading the Finance department and all aspects of the department’s functions. Advises the Executive team on financial responsibilities, strategies, budget constraints, and revenue cycle management. Uses long-term planning strategies to support the growth of the organization by analyzing current and future financial readiness and establishing budgets.

Population Served: Person’s meeting DSM 5 criteria for substance use disorders with or without co-occurring psychiatric illness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with Executive and Leadership Team to understand the organization’s goals and strategies related to financial readiness and is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of such strategies.
• Oversees the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks, to include financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Regularly performs financial analysis related to budget, revenue cycle management, and growth.
• Manages the revenue cycle for Clearfork Academy; supervises and oversees patient billing, communications with health insurance, collections, cash posting, account management, and contract analysis.
• Develops budgets for various departments within Clearfork Academy and ensures they meet the requirements set for Clearfork Academy’s financial growth.
• Establishes targets and manages all Finance department employees; work closely with vendors and contracted personnel.
• Supervises all audits and internal control processes.
• Prepared detailed reports on Clearfork Academy’s financial performance and briefs Executive and Leadership team on said reports monthly, quarterly, annually, or as needed.
• Ensures Clearfork Academy’s compliance with all financial laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Analyzes and recognizes patterns in company spending and revenue and recommends solutions to address any problems.
• Coordinates with external financial entities on behalf of Clearfork Academy.
• Manages various IT platforms and software geared towards maintaining the company’s financial readiness.
• Advises on venture capital and private equity fundraising strategies.
• Oversees and reviews accounting tasks, including payroll, taxes, and compliance.
• Supports accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.
• Maintains detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
• Creates policies and procedures related to finance functions and monitors compliance.
• Manages all corporate assets including purchase, insuring, and sale; manages Clearfork Academy’s various insurance policies to ensure compliance and coverage.
• Negotiates and manages contracted rates and reimbursement rates for treatment of Clearfork Academy clients.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Leadership team to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions to best support those needs

Requirements:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education, Training, and Experience Required:

? Master’s degree in related field of study; Business, Accounting, Finance (preferred)

? Bachelor’s degree in related field of study; Business, Accounting, Finance (required)

? 3 to 5 years work experience in a financial leadership role directing an organization. (required)

? Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in financial operations.

? Current CPR/FA certification (upon hire)

? Current Handle with Care Physical Holding Certification (upon hire)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

? Knowledge of industry standards: strategic planning, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and finances.

? Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to patient’s rights.

? Professional readiness: Issues related to self-awareness, diversity, ethics, and continuing education

? Knowledge of PC and Mac software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

? Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations, and foot traffic

? Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive manner

? Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demands

? Reading and writing level that can clearly express or understand complex concepts, assessments, directions and processes or sequences of events – level equivalent to at least two years of college.

? Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility

? Demonstrates an understanding of the developmental milestones of adolescents and young adults.
