EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential FunctionsOversee, maintain and promote brand integrity and awarenessOversee all social media content; manage and create organic content for social media platforms (write, edit, post): Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest manage and update YouTube channelOversee and manage photography and videography libraries and needs in order to support organization’s marketing and sales effortsUpdates, writes, edits content for external website (CMS is on WordPress)Project manager and content creator for annual visitor guide, overseeing design, layout, content, production timeline and distributionWriting includes: e-newsletter content, social media posts, press releases, some print ads, visitor guide content, website contentEstablish clear metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress; track engagement; report out analyticsResearch, purchase and oversee development of media buysAttend Middleton area events and other industry events as directed Marginal FunctionsPerform other related duties as assigned by the DirectorDesign brochures, flyers and posters and other collateral materialsDevelop and implement comprehensive annual marketing and advertising plan (includes media plan)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KnowledgeStrong understanding of interpreting marketing trends, analytics and data and ability to translate information into report formStrong understanding of advertising and marketing, ad placementStrong understanding of social media ad placement, digital ad placement In-depth knowledge and understanding of hospitality/tourism industry preferred SkillsExceptional customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; strong copywriting skillsHigh degree of critical thinkingHigh degree of proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong project management skillsExperience in Adobe Suite and Photoshop (or similar software, like Quark and Canva) preferred AbilitiesAbility to establish and maintain effective working (workplace and community) relationshipsAbility to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely mannerAbility to perform light physical work as related to an office environment with occasional moderately heavy physical work, with or without accommodations, (lift up to 30 pounds, primarily brochure cartons and display booth materials)Ability to maintain a regular work schedule with flexibility for industry events and out of town trainingMust have valid driver’s license

EducationBachelor’s degree in a relevant field: marketing, advertising, communications or journalism, with minimum three years of related professional experience – or –Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in other discipline and six years experiences in marketing or advertisingExperienceExperience in digital and/or social media marketing;Writing experience (blog posts, newsletters, visitor guides, magazines, news articles, etc.);Experience managing marketing projects;Experience working with web-based CRM (like WordPress)Graphic design experience preferredPhotography experience preferred
