SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises employees in the Finance Department and indirectly responsible for the administration of all financial affairs of the City as per the City Charter, in the absence of the Finance Director.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Knowledge of fund accounting. Strong computer skills, including PC knowledge of MS Office utilizing MS WORD, EXCEL, or comparable word processing and spreadsheet packages. Experience working in a high-volume team environment.
Language Skills
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
