Overview
This FP&A Analyst role, which is newly created due to growth, reports to the Controller and is a unique opportunity to contribute to a key area of growth for the company. You’ll be a member of a strategic and enterprising team that’s responsible for ensuring accuracy of financial data and the analysis of metrics which drive management decision making. Financial accounting experience is required, cost accounting experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities :
Work closely with Sr. Analyst in preparing financial packages and analysis, comparing to actuals and providing the narrative behind significant discrepancies
Understand the connection between business operations, providing insight and suggesting additional metrics for observation
Perform ongoing analysis of transactional data to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
Monitor KPIs and communicate analysis with management
Develop & maintain reporting tools tailored to management’s needs
Special projects & other tasks as assigned by the Sr. Analyst, Controller and VP of Finance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or CMA a plus
At least 2 years managing financial data
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Experienced in process improvement of finance, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Highly proficient with Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) – financial modeling a plus
Meticulous time management skills, ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
Prior work with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues is a plus
