Chevron Finance & Accounting Professional Job Description: You will have the opportunity to provide a full range of finance, accounting and analytical services to Chevron’s many business units. Chevron utilizes numerous tools and systems to conduct accounting and finance activities including SAP, Microsoft Office 365 and digital technologies (i.e. data analytics, robotics). Responsibilities for this this position may include but are not limited to: + Apply accounting principles and policies to properly record, maintain and report financial data associated with operational activities + Responsible for analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operating results + Prepare profit, cash flow, C&E and operating performance reporting for management teams + Review and assist in preparing financial forecasts, business plans and strategic updates + Provide policy guidance and analytical support to the business on accounting and finance topics + Perform market risk analytics and daily risk reporting for various products + Use various systems/technologies to enhance data analytics and reporting + Support audit engagements and investigations + Coordinate and participate in special projects Key Considerations: Positions are located in Houston, TX or at Chevron’s headquarters in San Ramon, CA. Hybrid work model: two days in-office, three days remote or three days in-office, two days remote. 9/80 work schedule supported. Interest in future Chevron assignments as part of the broader Finance Function and/or embedded positions within the Oil, Products & Gas organization (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream) and other corporate functions. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or Business + 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting Preferred Qualifications: + Corporate Finance/Accounting, Public Accounting, Energy Industry or Advisory experience + Experience with internal controls practices and compliance topics such as Sarbanes-Oxley testing + CPA and/or MBA considered a plus Preferred Skills: + Analytical – Critical thinker with ability to quickly assimilate new information and understand key business processes. Ability to efficiently mine and analyze large data sets to understand business and value drivers. Applies techniques and/or tools to break problems down into manageable components to solve problems or drive to solutions in the best interest of the business + Communication – Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to document work logically and produce formal reporting of results.
