CBRE is seeking a Senior Transformation Program Build Manager who will have oversight and central accountability for the “build” phase of the various transformation initiatives such as solution design, service model, operational definition & ownership, and key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will lead large scale transformations and programs by reviewing business requirements, assembling cross functional teams, managing scope, resources, costs, quality and risk through integrated solutions across large multi-discipline project portfolios.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads medium to large, complex cross-functional projects and programs end-to-end using a formal PMO process.
Responsible for launching transformational initiatives designed to functionally align the organization by reducing cost, simplify operations, and improve quality.
Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with the other program leads to ensure a seamless progression of each initiative through its lifecycle.
Will be working with various and diverse stakeholder groups to understand requirements and ensure alignment to the vision of the service or solution being built.
Responsibility will include managing build team resources, project plan and tasks, risks and issues, and reporting to senior leadership.
Creates and manages detailed project plans across all “build” phase activities for all transformation initiatives. Ensures that project tasks are on time and that “blockers” are well understood and addressed. Understands dependencies and can effectively foresee downstream impacts.
Leads regular project workstream calls and ensures that workstreams are progressing and that project governance is being followed.
Will have oversight and central accountability for the “build” phase of the various transformation initiatives, to include detailed solution design, service model, operational definition & ownership, process flows, training approach, playbooks and key performance indicators and reporting.
Serves as a critical team member for management consulting projects, from project initiation, through analysis, solutions development, implementation, and closeout; projects can span organizational development and transformation, strategic planning and implementation, business process improvement, risk management, and change management and strategic communications
Understand and use CBRE’s capabilities, solutions, and methodologies
Responsible for managing conflict and crisis situations effectively with diplomacy and sensitivity.
May provide consultation on complex medium to large scale projects that integrate into an organized program.
May manage/oversee a team who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs. Serves as the primary client contact and escalation point for any staffing, bandwidth or delivery issues.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate’s recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university.
Minimum six years of experience with Transformation, Organizational Transformation or Strategy Consulting.
Must have experience with managing budgets to include tracking of budget / actuals / forecasts for the program across all initiatives.
Knowledge of financial reporting with Capital Expenditures and Operating Expenditures as well as financial planning and business case development
Must be able to manage the “build” aspects of numerous parallel initiatives to completion including team engagement, issue and risk management, project and program management, and stakeholder management.
Must be willing and able to actively engage in issues at a very low level of detail in order to help the team progress. Is seen as a “doer” when and where strategically valuable
Supervises a national team, either with direct People responsibilities or not. Understands and can identify key-person risk, flight risk, or other similar situations and take quick, decisive action to address.
Experience managing people and ability to perform mid-year and year-end reviews, as well as other supervisory responsibilities as needed.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary.
Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.
Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
