Position Summary:

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring an Finance Manager the Clinical Services group. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and providing on-site financial support to the site Clinical General Manager, Clinical Manager and the Operational KCM Clinical leaders. This person will also create action-oriented reporting to assist Operations understanding business results and trends.

This is a full-time role position: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.

The Role

• Lead monthly accounting, forecast, and reporting processes to ensure that Corporate, Business Unit, and Site objectives and timelines are met

• Perform monthly variance review of P&L results

• Proactively identify, analyze, and present financial reporting and analysis in an accurate and timely manner to Site and Functional leaders, as well as cost and variance analysis that is useful and actionable

• Contribute to weekly Revenue Forecast process with Business Unit leadership

• Support the Manufacturing Accounting process; managing work orders, routers and costing deliverables

• Coordinate inventory related activities with management and Inventory Control, including analysis, reporting, annual wall to wall inventory count, cycle count activities; inventory adjustment needs; and help ensure overall inventory accuracy. Maintain a collaborative relationship with inventory control and supply chain.

• Assist the General Manager and Director of Finance in establishing metrics, performing budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial/operational analysis related to fixed asset purchases, base cost management, working capital management, headcount control, and operational performance.

• Ensure SOX related activities are conducted as documented, help coordinate changes as required, and work with corporate as required in the review and testing of SOX related processes; this includes working with both internal and external auditors

• Provide Revenue Recognition guidance and financial analysis support to the Finance Director and VP of Finance when quoting new projects or evaluating non-standard circumstances.

The Candidate

• Bachelors in Finance or Accounting is required, Masters degree preferred

• 7 to 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting required, with 1 or more years of management experience

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred

• Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution is preferred

• Working knowledge of cost accounting is highly preferred

• Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizing abilities

• Excellent collaboration skills, as well as written and oral communication

• Ability to handle deadlines and competing priorities

• Understanding and application of Finance Controls and SOX regulations

• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
