About the Position
The Supervisor, Finance supervises a team of Financial Analyst IIs responsible for health network reimbursements, including but not limited to, capitation and risk sharing settlements. The incumbent will have the essential roles of monitoring financial responsibilities and changes in health network contracts and for the timely updating of CalOptima Health’s policies for the respective area. The incumbent will be responsible for data review and analysis related to capitation expense. The Supervisor, Finance will lead the team in filing of 1099 Forms and other tax-related requirements and maintaining the accounts payable vendor profiles in Great Plains.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
Supervises and manages the performance and development of team members.
Oversees the daily activities of the team and develops project planning to ensure timeliness and accuracy of health network reimbursements.
Develops and/or updates CalOptima Health’s policies and the team’s desktop procedures.
Reviews and approves health network and specialist capitations and supplemental payments in accordance with health network contracts and CalOptima Health’s policies.
Reviews and approves calculation of risk sharing and risk corridor settlements to health networks in accordance with health network contracts and CalOptima Health’s policies.
Performs data analysis and financial review of capitation expense.
Reviews and approves Great Plains vendor setup and monitors compliance with state, federal and general audit requirements.
Leads the team in the filing of 1099 Forms and all other tax-related filings.
Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field required.
5 years of experience working in an Accounting or Finance department of a managed care health plan, Independent Physician Association (IPA) hospital or a large corporation required.
2 years of experience in a senior level and/or supervisory role required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above is also qualifying.
