New opportunity for an Accountant to provide hands on technical and general accounting, maintains integrity of financial reporting systems, provides analytical support regarding financial statements and general ledger to management. Primary responsibility will include SAP/FA Fixed Asset management/accounting. Additional responsibilities include SAP/FI accounting and revenue forecasting.

Assist in the preparation and accounting for BNSM fixed assets and demo inventory assets.
• Assist with the Tracking of CIP spending and capitalization of fixed assets in accordance with corporate policy and GAAP.
• Help oversee demo inventory and provide monthly fiscal close reports.
• Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate quarterly roll-forwards of Fixed Assets
• Assist with monthly financial close and reporting activities, with focus on accuracy and the meeting of all deadlines.
• Perform journal entries and reconciliations related to fixed assets and demo inventory
• Assist with other Accounting projects
• Perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance required
• Experience in fixed asset accounting and tracking required
• Working knowledge of medium-large company ERP environment highly preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• Thorough knowledge of fixed asset accounting practices and procedures
• Working understanding of the monthly financial closing process
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles is helpful.
• Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Proven knowledge of US accounting and auditing regulations and accounting policies and practices related to revenue. Unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, global environment.
• English language fluency with strong verbal, written, computer, technical, and interpersonal communication skills, advanced technology skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively within firm timelines.
• Maintains effective working relationships across the company and with all parties.
• Proven ability to complete position training
• Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
• May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
