POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Director will have primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities including accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, cost accounting, asset management, and investor obligations. The Finance Director will provide strategic leadership and establish the agency’s overall financial and contractual environment, including pricing. The Finance Director will ensure all proper controls and systems are in place; enforce or ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial and securities institutions and financial and real estate transactions; and ensure there is sufficient capital and financial information for the agency to operate soundly and compliantly.

Computer Skills:
Certifications & Licenses: Highly prefer Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.
Other Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver’s license for use in Washington State and with the continued ability to be covered under Bremerton Housing Authority’s auto insurance policies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is primarily an office position. The employee sits at a desk working on a computer, but has the opportunity to move at will. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate various types of office equipment. Several hours a day could be spent in conversations with other staff, leaders, or business affiliates. The employee will occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
