Minimum Education/Experience/Physical Functions
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, preference for accounting concentration, or equivalent work experience in related job function. Three to five years of related accounting experience preferably within wood products industry. May require a CPA. Requires detailed knowledge of business unit and a large company accounting and reporting structure. Strong computer skills required including Enterprise accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft), MS Office with advanced proficiency utilizing Excel. Candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to multi-task, work independently, work effectively in diverse teams, and able to apply complex accounting principles to solve problems. Preferred Qualifications: Prefer degree in business administration, with accounting concentration. Three to five years of related accounting experience preferably within wood products industry. Advanced use of Microsoft Excel including creating and manipulating spreadsheets. May require professional certification.
Decision-Making/Supervisory
Receives minimal supervision. Is provided general direction by direct supervisor.
Scope
Developing technical expertise (SEC, GAAP, ERISA, PeopleSoft, internal process, etc.). Completes internal reporting responsibilities including facilitation of regular profit / cost review meetings with operating and senior management. Coordinates annual budget processes as well as a range of external reporting requirements for an assigned site.
