Responsibilities
Altec is hiring an Accounting
Associate in Birmingham, AL. This is an entry-level
accounting position that processes standard accounting transactions
under direct supervision. This position will have a primary focus on
Collections for our Accounts Receivable Department.
Responsibilities
- High volume data entry
- High volume communication (electronic and telephone)
- Creates/assists with custom billing for customers
- Monitors and resolves internal invoicing issues
- Assists
with customer invoicing issues and requests - Communicates
with customers to resolve payment issues and answer customer inquiries - Documents customer interactions in the accounting system
- All other duties as assigned
Education,
Experience, and Skills Required
- High School
Diploma or GED required - Excellent typing
skills with an emphasis on accuracy - Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel - Research and analytical skills
- Extremely detailed-oriented
- Ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals - Ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent - PC skills Office 365 suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be
able to work with team members and work with direct supervision
