Summary
The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the Sr. Payroll Analyst and Payroll Analyst to ensure timely and accurate processing of the bi-weekly payroll and off-cycle stock payrolls for the BioMarin US.
Payroll. The Payroll Manager provides general ledger and payroll funding analysis support for the Global Finance Team. As part of the off- cycle stock payrolls, the candidate must have multi- jurisdictional local tax experience as well as experience with quarterly tax reconciliations, inter-period adjustments and quarterly and annual amendments.
The candidate must have experience with year- end employment tax reporting as well as W2, W2C and 941X and annual tax reporting.
The candidate must manage internal controls that have been established around timecard and payroll processing in compliance with the BioMarin Employee handbook as well as Labor Law Compliance.
The candidate is responsible for providing support for processing time records, maintaining payroll control records, and calculating payrolls.
The candidate must manage and support quarterly and annual information requests from the corporate tax group.
The candidate will have experience in project management, account analysis, employment tax and amendment experience, Sox analysis, task and audit management, produce payroll reconciliations, and payroll and time & attendance reporting and analysis.
The position should demonstrate cross training skills as well as support of the payroll team. The candidate should be able to lead projects and speak to larger groups when participating in projects, initiatives, sox walkthroughs, and group events.
