PURPOSE:
The IT Manager for Finance is responsible for supporting various functions including, but not limited to, general accounting, manufacturing accounting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, corporate tax, and internal/external SOX compliance in both the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and ancillary systems/software. This role is also responsible for coordinating, planning and leading daily operations of the Finance team.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete month-end tasks including making journal entries, running and distributing reports, and executing other processes.
2. Facilitate and manage the growth of team direct reports and remove roadblocks were needed.
3. Partner with operational users to troubleshoot and provide solutions for system and business process issues.
4. Provide Accounting and business process knowledge to identify impacts on cross-functional projects.
5. Configure ERP systems and BI tools to facilitate continually changing business processes.
6. Create and manage process documentation for both internal (IT) and external (end user) audiences.
7. Work closely with project sponsors, functional users, and internal IT (other functional business analysts, development resources, etc.) throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Contribute to a variety of initiatives related to ERP/software implementations and enhancements.
9. Analyze data from a variety of systems to provide meaningful information to stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications:
Required:
1. B.S. degree in Accounting, Business, or 3 years equivalent experience.
2. Strong personnel management skills including giving individual performance feedback, motivating team and identifying growth opportunities.
3. Strong relationship building skills to allow for effective influencing.
4. Highly motivated to build a thorough knowledge of business processes and software functionality.
5. Ability to work individually as well as across functional teams.
6. Excellent problem solving, organizational and communications skills.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all levels of the business.
8. Driven to continuously improve processes, technical and business skillsets.
Desired:
1. Previous experience with SQL.
2. JDE World and/or JDE E1 experience.
3. Proficient in Microsoft O365 applications.
4. Strong understanding of relational databases or broad data analysis experience.
5. Committed to successful training and understanding of SOx IT requirements.
6. Understanding of general order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes.
7. Strong project management experience.
