Avangrid Looking for Lead Analyst – Accounts Payable at Maine, United States Full Time

The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $64,000 to $73,500.00.

Location: Portland, Maine.

Responsibilities

Scope of work-Primary responsibility is to coordinate and report the activities of the General Administration Avangrid Department to the General Administration Avangrid Management Team. This role is essential to ensuring compliance with the Iberdrola General Administration Global model, and with Avangrid policies and procedure. As a member of the Avangrid General Administration team, this position will support the Supervisors, Managers and Directors of Avangrid administration as required, driving delivery of the Administration objectives.

• Process daily payment runs to pay vendors and customers as well as handling the requests for incoming payments. Performing other duties around payments which include check voiding, escheatment process, and working with Treasury area in relation to funding urgent payments and issues with payment batches.
• Process invoices with accuracy and efficiency following the departmental procedures for both PO and Non-PO invoices. The information related to all tasks will be delivered in a timely manner performed with efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare accounting reports, ad-hoc data requests for internal and external audit and any other ad-hoc reports as required. Accuracy, efficiency and timeliness are necessary as well as giving ample opportunity for review by Management previous to any internal or external deadlines.
• Vendor maintenance activities including verification of banking documentation, 1099 & 1042-S information reporting.
• Ensure the observance of the policies, criteria and procedures established by Purchasing, Tax, Financial and Administration Departments, identifying discrepancies and proactively working to improve alignment with the model beyond the purely transactional duties, to comply with the need for US Business Control/Management approval.

Education

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree – with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred
• Associates Degree – with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• High school diploma – with 5 years relevant experience
• Experience in understanding accounts payable processes, and Administrative control procedures, especially in areas related with accounts payable.
• Experience in payment & vendor reporting concepts, SAP and MS Office
