Position Overview
Our COO Finance, Business Planning & Performance Management Team is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional to support Autodesk’s annual topline forecast process and deliver insightful performance analysis feeding QBRs and other business review processes. This is an exciting role with significant impact on our ability to drive top line performance and sustain our growth trajectory.
The right candidate will demonstrate a strong aptitude for financial planning, outstanding analytical and communication skills, and strong business acumen. They will also be responsible for creating a roadmap and financial models for monitoring forecast changes and attainment to accurately assess risk, opportunities, and performance of business initiatives. They must be comfortable in engaging with a broad range of cross-functional teams and establish great partnership in a collaborative environment.
Detail-oriented, but also able to think strategically, the candidate must possess strong critical thinking skills and good judgment to produce high quality work within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
Spearhead forecast consolidation process; work closely with broader sales finance team to consolidate and review field forecast submissions
Articulate business insights, risk and opportunities to Finance and Sales leadership teams, Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations
Develop financial models and lead analysis of topline metrics including billings, revenue and other new financial metrics that are essential to measuring the success of our business
Lead the end of quarter revenue forecast modeling, reporting and alignment with revenue and M&A accounting
Prepare critical financial analyses and executive level presentations to help stakeholders understand the context or ‘why’ behind our financial results
Establish strong partnership with financial analysis team, sales finance directors, and finance business partners to provide revenue/billings analysis and forecast support
Assist in the development of Anaplan model roadmap and recommend improvements to processes and models to increase efficiency and adapt to changing business
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor in Finance/Accounting or STEM preferred; MBA, CFA, or CPA a plus
6+ years of related experience
Prior experience in Finance, Investment Banking or Private Equity
Advanced skills and experience building financial models, preferably for subscription-based companies
Strong aptitude for, experience with, or desire to learn financial software (e.g. Anaplan, Power BI etc.)
Strong familiarity with key accounting principles impacting revenue recognition for software companies
Ability to work cross functionally and as well as independently
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork and building effective relationships

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $102,900 and $166,540. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
