Currently, they are looking to bring on a Financial Operations Manager . Salary / Hourly Rate : $130k plus Bonus Position Overview : The Manager of Financial Operations will be a key contributor in leading and managing several lines of business within our clients organization.
This role ensures the accuracy of transaction financial records, compliance with regulations, and implementation of efficient financial processes, including working on all aspects of deal transactions from origination, execution, and financial closing as well as integrating new acquisitions.
Responsibilities of the Financial Operations Manager : Manage and provide strategic direction for financial operations Review legal agreements for deal transactions gaining an understanding of the overall transaction / structures for both internal and external clients, documenting and outlining key transaction obligations and accounting needs.
Structure operating plan for deal transactions including reporting daily financial status, financial statements, and controls needed for cash reconciliation, and outline all deal components that need to be addressed;
treasury, tax, insurance, technology, communications with Joint Venture Partners, participants in loan transactions, and syndications to third parties.
Implement best practices and financial controls to protect the companys assets. Identify financial risks and development strategies to mitigate them.
Monitor external factors that could mitigate financial performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, ITS, FP&A, and HR to align transactions with overall business objectives.
Support the development of financial software and systems to further automate processes, improve accuracy, and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
Mentor the Financial Operations team by providing guidance, training, and professional development. Lead the integration of new acquisitions and their related operations into the financial reporting structures and processes.
Follow up on the management of the Business Financial team to ensure they are complying with timetables, operating controls, third-party compliance, and financial integrity.
Partner with the Director, External Reporting & Compliance to ensure that all accounting entries and processes are following US GAAP & are consistent with accounting policies, and are captured and recorded appropriately.
Qualifications for the Financial Operations Manager : Minimum of 7 years of corporate or significant divisional Financial Operations experience in a fast-paced financial services or professional services firm.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed expectations and help others drive results. Strong financial operational and technical ability with proven experience in building, developing, and supporting operating businesses to structure the needs of a complex, growing & fast-changing business.
Collaborative, team player adept at working with and building constructive relationships with stakeholders across the business.
Ability to manage and drive multiple processes and deliverables at once in a dynamic environment; highly detail-oriented and organized.
Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and moderate based on the audience.
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational layers and departments and third parties involved in deal transactions.
Education Requirements : Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other highly quantitative degree is required.
