Position Summary:
Atlantic Broadband is looking for its next Inside Sales Supervisor for our virtual call center. Working as a team, the Inside Sales Supervisor will work closely with the other virtual Inside Sales Supervisors to oversee 75 Inside Sales Reps with 13 of those being direct reports. The person in this position will be responsible for coaching, leading and developing their team with the expectation of achieving established goals and meeting quota each month. This role will report to the Inside Sales Manager. The ideal person in this position will come from the cable/telecom industry with Inside Sales experience, proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate the drive of your team to achieve success!
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates activities of Inside Sales Team engaged in selling products and services to customers
- Monitors sales calls to observe employee’s demeanor, accuracy, conformity to company policies, ability to close a sale, and ability to sell multiple products in multiple regions.
- Answers questions about products and services.
- Enters information into computer to compile work volume statistics for reporting.
- Addresses errors and complaints.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Hire, evaluate, coach, and counsel personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Studies and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Interface with other departments through written and verbal communications to handle customer situations.
- Directly supervises employees within the Inside Sales Team and is responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience building, coaching and leading a productive Inside Sales team
- Ability to build morale and group commitments to reach goals and objectives
- Participation in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Expertise in managing difficult or emotional customer situations
- Hands on experience with conflict resolution
- Strong and effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel Spreadsheets
- BA/BS plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
