Description:
Remote opportunity taking calls from to discuss member accounts/billing call will come in a queue and be routed to them through the computer. They will look up member accounts/payments/outstanding bills and discuss payment plans if necessary to ensure MHP receives payments as scheduled.
Pilot Program: CSR Pipeline (long term contract) . Medical billing and/or collections experience
Position Summary:
They will train their 1st day in the office and then work a remote role. All training will be done online. Monday – Friday 8:30-5pmk. They must be somewhat local to Flint due to working their 1st day in the office.
Provides clerical and data entry support to the department. This person will be on the phone daily speaking with members to help resolve outstanding medical bills that they have not paid. Collections would be the best way to describe the role. They will call members who are not always happy to be getting the phone call that they owe MHP money for medical services. They will then set up a payment plan with the individual or find out when a payment was mailed or will be mailed. They will be on the phone for the majority of the day. They will also need to document conversations in their data base, update spreadsheets with information. Additional clerical duties as needed in the department. Maintains daily incoming mail and faxes. They could produce and pull weekly and monthly departmental reports. Maintains, tracks, and reports on several Finance functions. Assists supervisor with special projects as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Opens, sorts, reviews and stamps daily departmental mail and faxes.
Generates member specific reports, sends member mailings as appropriate.
Researches and coordinates the collection and analysis of data related to departmental responsibilities.
Provides support for departmental committees/functions.
Maintains a positive working environment and willing provides assistance as needed or directed without substantial deviation.
Orders departmental supplies.
Maintains department files in an orderly fashion.
Photocopies business related materials and maintains training and reference binders.
Assists with processing claims of low complexity on a daily basis.
Other duties as assigned or when necessary to maintain efficient operations of the department and the Company as a whole.
General office clerical, data entry, manipulating spreadsheets, creating spreadsheets, formulas, etc. Creating Word documents, mail merge . Position will be within the Finance department. Within this department the duties will include being on the phone with providers, performing customer service, finalizing paperwork and assisting the dept. as necessary.

Required:
• Possess high school diploma or GED
• Possess one year of job-related experience
Nice to Have:
Experience in a Medical office or setting is preferred working with benefits and/or insurance.
• Associates degree in accounting field or going to school for accounting. This would allow the person to grow within the department if that is a goal of theirs.
Must Haves:
• Minimum 6000 data keystrokes per hour. 80% on basic Excel
Professional speech as well as the ability to communicate profession via email. Looking for great alpha numeric data entry skills, personable, professional, experience with telephonic customer service is a plus.
