Aspirus Health Looking for Environmental Services Specialist I at Laurium, Michigan Full Time

We are currently seeking an ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SPECIALIST I in Laurium, Michigan to work in at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital. This position may also work at our other clinic or hospital locations in Lake Linden or Houghton. Duties include:

• Expertly maintains a healthful environment following infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the facility.
• Performs a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, kitchens, surgical suites, elevators, stairways, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas of the facility.
• Follows standard practices and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements with positive customer relations without disrupting function of the department, being especially aware of the patients’/residents’/visitors’ need for privacy and quiet

Hours: This position occasional/as needed.

Experience/Qualifications/Licensure

• Knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior cleaning experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred, but any professional cleaning experience will be considered.
