POSITION SUMMARY

We are a growing Nasdaq-listed women’s health diagnostic company. Our CFO is seeking experienced candidates to provide technical accounting and financial reporting expertise. We offer opportunities to grow and learn in a dynamic environment. Key qualifications are provided below.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform technical research and ensure proper GAAP accounting treatment for all transactions
• Direct and oversee all aspects of SEC reporting, including the preparation and timely filing of annual and interim financial statements proxy statements, in full compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements
• Monitor, understand and implement new technical accounting requirements
• Prepare certain month-end close journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support the CFO in the implementation and execution of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with SEC and listing standard requirements
• Act as primary liaison to the company’s external auditors
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly audit committee and board materials

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA preferred
• Extensive experience with SEC reporting requirements including –10Q/K, 8Ks, proxy statements
• Five or more years public accounting experience with public companies within the same industry sector as Aspira (health diagnostics)
• Significant technical accounting experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles including revenue recognition
• Strong understanding of SEC-compliant financial statement preparation
• Knowledge and experience designing and implementing Internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision

None at this time; however, there will be opportunities as the company grows

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
