Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center has the following job opportunity available for a Finance Manager:
Essential Functions:
Assists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with state and federal law, and ASM policies and procedures.
Performs Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Parking and other accounting functions.
Prepares and performs or assists with event settlements.
Prepares and performs bank reconciliations.
Supervises and assists with the preparation of all financial reporting, including:
Assists with preparation of financial statements for the Client and ASM Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, Annual Budget and Annual Report.
Maintains installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
Verifies and checks the accuracy of general ledger coding.
Participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
Prepares and analyzes information for financial statements and reports.
Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
Assists internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Works with auditors in verifying financial information/procedures.
Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
Other and all functions as required by Senior staff.
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university or at least 3 to 5 years experience in public accounting and/or financial management.
License/Certificate:
No certifications are required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of:
General and cost accounting
Math with high aptitude for numbers
Sage 50 is required
Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to:
Communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing
Work with and maintain highly confidential information
Supervise others
Skills to Operate modern office equipment including computer, scanner, phone, and copy machine
Excellant Organizational Skills
Ability to prioritize work
Team player is a must
Able to handle multiple projects and perform in a timely manner
From time to time must be available for a flexible schedule as related to business needs
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position requires sitting at the computer for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally
some stooping, bending and lifting may be required. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision for review of statistical and other financial records and
information.
