Reports to: Senior Finance Manager
Summary:
The Finance Manger will provide financial leadership to the US Writing Business Unit through developing business partnerships with the Sales team. In this position, you will contribute to profitable business growth by effectively partnering with sales leaders, and improving the financial planning, modeling, and reporting support provided to them. The Finance Manager will be an integral partner to the sales team.
Responsibilities:
Deliver financial planning and reporting responsibilities accurately and timely, including variance analysis and commentary for internal review/action.
Contribute to the month-end close process, monthly business reviews, and budget/forecasting cycles.
Analyze variances and trends in sales, revenue, profitability, and general business conditions.
Identify revenue and profitable growth opportunities through customer portfolio analytics.
Monitor and control operating expense to ensure alignment with budget/forecast.
Serve as the subject matter finance expert for sales management support.
Offer excellent quantitative analysis, qualitative business judgement, and build strong business relationships across the business unit.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus.
5+ years of experience in the accounting/finance field.
Prior experience in consumer products environment preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel required.; Hyperion/Smartview and SAP experience preferred.
Intellectual curiosity with a strong base of problem-solving and technical skills required to complete assignments.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to motivate others to accomplish common goals.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with supervisors, business partners and other cross functional teams.
Demonstrates flexibility, commitment to meeting deadlines, shows aptitude for negotiation and excellent decision making.
Must have ability to work in and promote a team environment.
Self-motivated in achieving goals and completing route tasks.
