Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoice/billing, cash receipts, customer credits and collections and perpetual inventory integrity in order to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Auditing of departmental accounting data, identify and correct errors, identify and compute accruals, apply accounting principles to transactions and recommend revision in departmental accounting procedures to ensure conformance with applicable statutes, laws and General Accepted Accounting Principles
Perform accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. Ensure the timely reporting of all financial information as required by corporate
Verifying and recording monthly sales commission payments for employees and outside representatives in accordance with company policies and procedures
Documentation of accounting principles, policies and procedures. Prepare and revise relevant work instructions to improve operational issues
Respond to inquiries from Executive team members, Department Managers and Auditors regarding financial results, transactions and special requests as required. Maintain financial security by adhering to established internal controls. Observe strict confidentiality of all sensitive company information.

•BA/BS in Accounting with at least 7 years• experience in accounting and financial reporting which demonstrated progressive levels of responsibility
•At least 3 years supervisory experience

•Strong knowledge of GAAP, laws and statutes
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced setting
•Advanced Microsoft Excel and Intermediate Word skills
•Advanced verbal and written communication skills

•Take initiative to insure all necessary work is handled efficiently and accurately
•Strong Analytic and Problem-Solving Skills
