AnHeart Therapeutics (“AnHeart”) is a global clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel precision therapies for people with cancer. Our lead investigational therapy, taletrectinib, is a next-generation ROS1-inhibitor currently in pivotal Phase 2 trials for ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Taletrectinib has been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designations by both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the China National Medical Products Administration. AnHeart’s second investigational therapy, safusidenib, is a mIDH1-inhibitor being evaluated in a Phase 2 trial for IDH1-mutant glioma.

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES:
· Report to the CFO as a strategic business partner and have responsibility for US GAAP financial reporting, filings, federal and states regulatory requirements, compliance and oversight of the finance function.
· Manage and oversee all finance operations of the Company, including accounting, providing leadership and guidance to the existing finance team for all financial reporting, establish and maintain fiscal controls, i.e., forecasting, budgeting, cost-benefit analysis activities and financial audit, along with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensure that the Company has adequate financial resources to meet its operating and strategic objectives.
· Work closely with the ELT to define the organization’s public company readiness and assess financial implications of those plans. Implement resulting finance initiatives and actions that may be required in support of public company SEC reporting and filing requirements.
· Be responsible (as appropriate) for timely SEC filing of all required reporting, including but not limited to10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and Proxy Statements.
· Work with the ELT to develop the annual financial budget including the underlying departmental budgets.
· Ensure that the Company has the proper operational SOX compliant controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and resources in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
· Select and implement the efficient and effective accounting, financial management, and reporting system
· Manage the company’s compliance with local and federal regulatory matters from financial perspective.
· Manage existing cash and oversee risk management, external and internal audits. Provide financial support and strategic input to executives driving strategic initiatives and global expansion, i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers, and investments.
· Be responsible for timely filing of all required Country, Federal and State taxes.
· Drive the corporate reporting process to the Board of Directors and the Company’s investors.
· Manage, develop and inspire the finance team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Undergraduate degree required; MBA, CPA desirable.
· A proven track record of success as a Vice President of Finance of a clinical stage biotech company in the life science sector.
· Public Company Accounting experience.
· Big Four accounting experience.
· International, multinational and multi-entity consolidation accounting experience.
· Expert understanding of relevant business models, specifically Biotech Licensing pricing strategies and sales process.
· Has critical knowledge of federal and multiple state tax laws as well as complex accounting issues.
· A genuine enthusiasm for the role of Vice President of Finance as the key business partner to the executive team.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to drive all aspects of the business in the role of Vice President of Finance with both internal and external constituents.
· Experience beyond the traditional area of finance and accounting. And will specifically bring strong operations-oriented skills and a proven analytical nature to this role.
· Track record of proactivity in the anticipation of challenges and being ahead of issues before they become problems.
· Competence in the technical aspects of accounting and control programs, including: 409A reporting and cheap stock issues, planning/budgeting, forecasting, systems, cost accounting, COGs, revenue recognition, resource allocation, regulatory reporting requirements, tax planning and compliance, and treasury-related activities.

· Strong technical background to leverage existing business software tools.
· Experience with global operations of financial structures.
