We operate over 150 dedicated cargo aircraft, including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99 from bases across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
In this role, you will perform audits of policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance to program/contract, company, customer, and regulatory requirements. The audit program is intended to assist the organization in finding areas that need improvement and is part of the continuous improvement process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform periodic audits on Ameriflight maintenance bases to ensure conformance to the Maintenance Operations Manual, Company Policies and Procedures and Regulatory Requirements
Perform periodic audits, written and on-site, of contract agencies and repair vendors to assure compliance to the Maintenance Operations Manual, Company Policies and Procedures and Regulatory Requirements
Establish and maintain internal and external audit schedules and audit checklists
Prepare and distribute audit reports as required
Ensure all issues are tracked and brought to resolution
Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System
Organizing and conducting training as needed
Assist with external audits from customers and regulatory bodies (i.e., AS9100, FAA, etc.)
Communicate results of audits to Management including significant or aging issues
Position will require frequent travel

Education and/or Experience
8 years’ related experience with no degree or 5 years’ related experience plus a Bachelor’s degree.

years’ related experience in assuring compliance in FAR Part 135 and/or 145 maintenance operations and assessing adherence and constructively resolving problems
5
years’ experience in Quality in aviation
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills working across cross functional teams
Competent in Root Cause Corrective action and ability to perform conformity checks
Strong ability to read drawings, procedures and understanding of regulatory requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel & Word)
Must have the ability to work any shift, including weekends
Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace Experience
Possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
Experience with DASH
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor
AS9100 Experience
Knowledge of Statistical Process and Control (SPC) and Six Sigma
