Allied Universal® is hiring a Finance/Accounting Specialist – Operations in our Raleigh, NC Headquarters
The Finance/Accounting Specialist is responsible the daily review and input of line of credit information, cash sheet update, collections, and reconciling the bank statements on a monthly basis. The individual must also be proficient in the understanding of accounting concepts including month-end procedures, account and bank reconciliations, financial analysis and treasury functions. Good communication skills, problem-solving and attention to detail are required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in month-end close process and revenue report generation – month-end process, monitor and track other functional areas to ensure they close on time

Account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts (fixed assets, A/R related)

Work with Accounting Manager on financial audit lead sheets and facilitate its process to ensure a timely completion
-
Day-to-day troubleshooting and ad-hoc reporting
-
Collections as needed
-
Follow up on invoice discrepancies
-
Serve as a liaison between other accounting personnel – assist and mentor A/P on proper coding, A/R on credit, collection and invoicing issues

Assist finance department as needed on special projects
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
-
Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of direct finance related experience
-
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year experience in a related field preferred, additional experience may be substituted for formal education
