Summary

The Director of Finance will lead, manage, plan, direct, and control all aspects of the finance and cash control department within the Adventureland Campus (park, inn, campground)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations at the park level, including budgeting, weekly forecasting, and account reconciliation
• Review Monthly Income Statement and General Ledger for accuracy
• Supervise cash control operations, cash handling, reconciliations, and daily revenue reporting
• Manage AP processing and purchasing
• Provide financial leadership for all departments to manage expenses
• Assist in developing annual financial plans and projections for the park
• Communicate and enforce organization policies, procedures, and values
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
• Ensure that a daily flash report is prepared for the Park and the Hotel
• Perform routine financial analysis for all Revenue Centers
• Assist the Marketing Team on Attendance Tracking
• Establish standards for the operation of cash control for the entire organization.
• Work closely with the Revenue Manager for accuracy and security of company funds including bank deposits and internal cash funds for assigned location.
• Oversee appropriate control of expenses, labor hours, operating costs, and inventory within budgeted guidelines. Responsible as directed for the development, implementation, and achievement of budgetary goals.
• Maintain positive vendor relations through professional courtesy in compliance with

Palace Entertainment Code of Ethics.

• Other duties as assigned by corporate finance and the Adventureland General Manager

Requirements

Experience: 5‐7 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.

Other:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field.
• Experience in amusement park industry as well as hospitality is a plus.

Job Description

• Must have strong technical accounting skills such as P&L preparation, month/year end closings, and cash flow preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Must be able to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying climates
• Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, stoop, and bend
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs (one box of quarters)

Must possess a valid driver’s license
Education: Formal education with either certificate, associate or other degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.

Languages: Fluent English. Bilingual skills are helpful.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
