SNI Companies is looking for Medical Collections Specialists to join a growing organization in Houston. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Research each account using company records and internet resources that are made available.
Compiles appropriate information for appeals, requests for reconsideration and demand for additional payment
Types, assembles, copies, files and processes data required in an accurate and timely manner
Handling, interpreting and analyzing medical documentation and other correspondences
Follow up with insurance carriers and patients, assist with appeals with attached medical claims
Record accurate account updates on computer files
Other duties within the department as assigned by the supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Medicare, United or third-party collections experience required.
Posting experience
Must be able to compile simple excel spreadsheets
Working knowledge of Word and Outlook
Excellent communication skills
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 1-2 years medical collections experience
