ABR is recruiting a temporary Finance Manager in Portage County. This position is set to start immediately 4-6 months or longer.

The Finance Manager develops, implements, maintains, and coordinates the business office operations of the business. This includes the areas of financial reporting, budget, payroll, accounts receivable / payable, purchasing, resident personal funds, and workers compensation.

This position is a key member of the management team and participates in the operational decisions of the business by providing a financial perspective on the team.

Finance Manager Background Profile :

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Care Administration or similar field required; Masters Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with long-term care facility and / or health care experience highly preferred.
• Government accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Any combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Ability to successfully pass a financial and criminal background check.
• Must meet bonding requirements.

Finance Manager knowledge, skills and abilities :

• Knowledge of governmental accounting and budgeting principles and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of management, Generally Accepted Accounting (GAAP) and human resources principles and policies.
• Knowledge of internal auditing procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of payroll principles and procedures.
• Ability to exercise considerable independent judgment in problem solving.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of appropriate program policies and procedures.
• Ability to compile, analyze and direct the preparation of statistical, financial, and narrative reports and summarizes.
• Knowledge of and proficient skills with spreadsheet software and computer programs.
• Ability to maintain regular, consistent and reliable attendance.
