Do you have proven experience working in a data driven environment
focused on accuracy, an ability to produce timely results and an
interest in leading people? If data drives you and you are a “numbers”
person with the ability to lead, this may be the job for you!
The
YMCA of the North Shore is a mission driven 60 million dollar
non-profit organization with a centralized Finance team. Our active
and engaging group is focused on ensuring support for the operations
of 7 local YMCA facilities, 8 affordable housing properties and over
20 child care sites along the North Shore and southern New Hampshire.
During a regular day, you will prepare certain complex or non-standard
accounting transactions, review standard accounting transactions
including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations,
support the work of accountants and ensure month end processes and day
to day general accounting operations are completed with a high level
of accuracy and on time. Working in a team environment you’ll support
forecasting projects for our Local Y budgets and prepare for our
annual audits across our business areas. You’ll need an eye for detail
to produce and review accounting transactions, invoices, prepare and
help our operations team make informed decisions and ensure the
appropriate accounting controls.
You have a solid background in
Accounting or Finance, at least three years experience and you’re
ready for a job that makes a difference in the lives of the community
or the next step in your career. You have a way with people and can
help them get to where they need to be when it comes to completing
projects or learning something new and want to deepen your
professional and leadership experience. You are often referred to when
someone has a computer or excel question. Deadlines don’t scare you
and you feel satisfaction in ensuring high level accuracy, clear
communication and that exceptional work continues on as efficiently as
possible.
