Job Description
General Summary :
Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Manager of FP&A is a key member of Vertex’s G&A Finance team, partnering closely with the rapidly growing and dynamic Data, Technology, and Engineering team (DTE) as part of the Chief Science Officer Organization to drive strong financial management, forecast accuracy, and transformation.
Potential to consider Senior Manager level for role based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate will play a key role in business partnering with members of the DTE team in helping them to achieve their financial goals & targets, including support of forecasting, budgeting, long range planning processes, month end close activities, variance analysis, and other ad hoc financial support.
They will serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert for their business partners, including helping to educate and train on best practices to improve continue to build financial acumen across the team.
They will also help support continuous process improvement across DTE and G&A Finance and will leverage lessons learned to work with peers to develop / share best practices and improve processes on a broader scope.

Non-GAAP and P&L / Balance Sheet analysis / impacts and complex business decisions.
