Seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a company, located in Monrovia, CA.
SUMMARY
As the CFO, this position will play a pivotal role in shaping the Company’s financial strategies to help optimize its operations for sustained growth. The position will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company while also providing operational support to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the Company. The Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with strong operations experience to join its leadership team and help drive our financial success and growth for the organization while minimizing financial risks. This role will also include the supervision of Information Technology (IT) department, first point interfacing on general legal aspects of company business and other non-finance functions of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The position”s specific duties include but are not limited to the following.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with company policies and goals.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and parent company (sole shareholder) in Japan.
* Compile annual, 3 year and 5-year financial business plans for top management”s review, submit and communicate to the financial department of parent company after internal approval.
* Compile monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual financial report, as well as future forecasts for top management”s review, then submit and communicate to the financial department of parent company upon internal approval.
* Create and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and models.
* Compares and analyzes sales and profit projections to actual results and budgeted expenses to actual. Request corrective actions from departments head when noticeable deviation from plan / budget is observed, especially when the deviation is continuous and to the extent negatively impacting the Company”s overall financial standing.
* Monitor financial performance for optimization opportunities.
* Prepare timely and accurate financial reports to the Company”s managers, senior management, top management, and sole shareholder (parent).
* Oversee all accounting responsibilities including period end close and financial reporting.
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and risk mitigation.
* Ensure Operational Efficiency by collaborating with internal teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
* Evaluate investment and financing options for growth.
* Plan, direct, and coordinate risk and insurance (general, property, liability) programs of establishments to control risks and losses.
* Contract Management by overseeing contract negotiations, ensuring appropriate terms and compliance.
* Collaborate & work with our Executive team to action necessary items after each meeting.
* Oversee tax planning, quarterly, semiannual, annual audit and liaison with CPA firm to ensure that the Company is optimizing all opportunities and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
* Support revenue growth and commercial activities including potential M&A
* Perform other duties as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has supervisory responsibilities. This position oversees Finance and Information Technology.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor”s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
* Experience working within the manufacturing industry preferred.
* 10+ Years of proven experience as a CFO and/or Controller, with record of success.
* Strong financial analysis and regulatory knowledge.
* Exceptional strategic thinking and communication skills.
* Experience in contract management and negotiations.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools.
* High level of integrity and ethics
* Ability to understand and explain economic and accounting information, prepare, and manage budgets, and make sound long-term investment decisions.
* Japanese language skill, at business communication level, will be a plus.
