Primary Responsibilities:
Process Accounts Payable on a weekly basis, procure, research and follow for PO;s and proper backup and allocation.Request appropriate support documentation for all AP’s, record and prepare forpayment.
Processingall financial transactions using QuickBooksOnline.
•Support DOF during annual audit and 990 Tax Form preparation
•Supportpayroll andreconcileemployeebenefits. Serve as a back up to process semi-monthly payrollvia ADP for 35 employees.
•Prepare Monthlyand year-end reports,supportcompliance with generally accepted accountingprinciples and organization’sfinancialpolicies andprocedures.
•Assistwithmonthlycash flow andfinancial reportsfor Finance Committee•Assist inpreparing theannual budget
•Ensure requests for financial information by staffand directors are answered and communicated in atimely manner
•Maintain and monitor, all pledges,billings,and receipts
•Record all revenue and expensetransactions
•Monitor all bank accountsand credit card accounts,
•Reconcileall benefits accountsagainst ADP
•Reconcile all permanent accountsin a monthly basis
•Reconcile contributions against donors’ database–E-tapestryvsQuickBooks
•Monitor expenses for grants and allocate appropriate
Additional Responsibilities:
•Perform otheraccountingduties as assigned by the Director ofFinance
•Support HR by reviewing payroll and reconcile all benefits accountsin a semi-monthly basis
•Ad Hoc Reportsto include but not limited to accrued, prepaid expenses
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting; 2+years’ experiencedesired
•Must be very familiar with QuickBooksOnline; Recent 2+years’ experiencea must
•Familiar with ADP or any otherpayroll system
•Experience reconciling credit cards expenses
•Experience in the nonprofit environment preferred
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
•Knowledge ofdonordatabaseprogramapplications, such as E-Tapestry•Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, interpersonal skills and a collaborative workstyle with the abilityto work in a dynamic environment•A commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverseworkplace
•Excel at operating in a fast pace,team-orientedenvironment•Non-profit experiencea plus
