Steer is searching for an Equity Manager to join our growing team in North America and to work with our Equity and Inclusion network across Steer’s offices. The Equity Manager will take a technical leadership role through working to expand the way we integrate equity into our projects and practices across market areas and supporting our growth. We are searching for an individual who has a deep understanding of topics related to equity and is experienced in reviewing existing practices and creating strategies for how equity can be meaningfully integrated into our work.
We are searching for someone to join our team who is knowledgeable, creative, and thrives working closely with teams to develop solutions to complex challenges. While someone with experience on equity issues in transportation and/or previous experience as a consultant would be a nice benefit, it is not a requirement for this position. A commitment to people and communities is important for success in this role.

We champion the role of transportation and infrastructure in delivering on an improved quality of life for our communities and support our clients to incorporate equity as part of their public policy, planning and investment for towns and cities across the globe.
We have been helping our clients navigate how to mainstream equity. We support our clients incorporating an equity perspective across the transport lifecycle, from policy and planning to operation. Our credentials incorporate various projects and initiatives including Link21 in the Bay Area Megaregion where we are incorporating equity as part of travel demand and land use modeling, the Future Cities Program in Mexico where we have led a +100 team to incorporate equity across 15 different projects from local planning to funding and financing mechanisms, and the Equitable Development Toolkit developed by our affiliated firm, Fourth Economy.
We are aligning our internal practices with the work we do externally.
