Position Overview
The Financial Analyst II will support a project in the areas of strategic business operations, accounting, finance, and other related reporting functions. This person will be skilled in executing processes and utilizing reporting software, such as SAP and Excel, to create and review reports from various types of data for executive leaders. This position will collaborate with project and district level management, providing trusted insight into the reporting and health of a project. The primary focuses of this position include: evaluating construction job costs, data reporting/analysis, budgeting/forecasting, revenue recognition, and report generation for executive management leaders.
District Overview
Kiewit’s South-Central District is one of Kiewit’s leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more. Although most of our work is regionally based in the south-central region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the United States. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.

Responsibilities
• Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
• Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives
• Develop financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting
• Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes
• Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data
• Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends
Other Responsibilities
• Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
• Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
• Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
• Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
• At least 1 – 3 years’ experience in financial reporting and/or data analysis within a large (> $1 billion annual revenues), complex multinational organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Analytics, Data Visualization, Statistics, Finance, or related field
• Knowledge utilizing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) to prepare financial reporting and forecasts
• Expert knowledge utilizing the Microsoft Office 365 software suite to prepare and/or supplement financial reporting, forecasts, and analyses
