The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Accountant for Capital Projects Accounting. They will establish and fund capital construction projects in the Job Cost System, set up new capital construction accounts. Monitor financial status of capital construction projects-deficits/errors, etc. Interface with Project Management personnel to properly close out capital construction projects, including reconciling costs between General Ledger and Job Cost System, preparing capital asset componentization. For projects funded by outside third parties, including the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (DGS), prepare appropriate invoices on a monthly basis for billing to the third party. Following up on receipt of funds and process accordingly in the University System. Work with Project Managers and Staff to identify and verify information on projects.
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance. Two years accounting or finance experience.
