The healthcare teams at St. Paul’s PACE provide a hands-on approach coordinating medical, social, and home care services so individuals no longer need to manage their medical care alone. BASIC FUNCTION: The Finance Director is responsible for financial policies, financial functions, including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish stated goals.
Leads and directs the work of others. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversight of month-end close and preparation of financial statements • Preparation of Finance Committee and Board financial packets • Retirement Plan (compliance, remittances, audit, 5500, etc.) • Budget Maintenance • Property tax filings and exemptions • Corporate Insurance plan management • Payroll (oversight of HRIS system updates and changes in conjunction with payroll manager, review of tax filings, reporting, review, and approval of payroll) • Oversight of MHC Federal Financial (PBJ, Medicare, MediCal) reporting and cost reports. • In conjunction with PACE Health Plan Manager, monitor PEAK Accounts Receivable • Great Plains upgrades and data maintenance • Villa, Inc. HUD (quarterly filings, Annual REAC filing, R&R requests) • Community Benefit Accounting • Oversight of Medicare Part D bid • Cash flows maintenance (transfers) • Oversight of annual audit and fieldwork • Preparation of annual audit schedules and fieldwork in conjunction with Controller • Preparation of schedules for Form 990s in conjunction with Controller • Maintenance of accounting policies and procedures MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge of: Not-for-profit, senior living and healthcare accounting in accordance with U.S.
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Federal, State, and other regulatory requirements. Current trends, developments, and theories in senior living, services and healthcare. General office software, particularly Microsoft Office and finance/accounting software. • · Ability to: Foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships.
Create and assess financial statements and budget documents. Supervise staff, including regular performance reviews and plans for improvement. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: • Completion of a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university required.
