Hays Looking for Chief Financial Officer – Series C SaaS at California, United States Full Time

The opportunity is to lead Finance for a rapidly growing, Series C SaaS startup. They’ve developed a revolutionary AI powered platform that enables companies to hire high-quality and diverse talent more effectively.

They were founded in 2016 and are already forecasting to exceed $30M ARR this year. Impressively, the business is already very profitable. They’ve already managed to raise $95M from a number of prestigious VCs including a recent $60M Series C which has given them runway for the next three years.

They already boast an impressive number of high-profile clients which includes Netflix, Capital One, Dropbox, Robinhood, Zoom and Meta to name a few.

Your new role

Given their impressive trajectory, the founding team and investors are confident in achieving an exit within the next 4 years and see the CFO to play a pivotal role in this journey.

You will have the advantage of coming into a business that already has an established Finance & Accounting team consisting of a VP Finance, Controller, Accounting Manager and FP&A Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of working in senior financial and operational roles within late stage, VC backed SaaS companies
• Have ideally led Series D+ fundraises and have been part of an exit
• Familiarity with Enterprise SaaS business models, subscription-based revenue recognition, and other relevant industry practices.
• Experience overseeing legal, finance, operations, and strategy functions, preferably in a technology-focused organization.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences.
• A proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented approach, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
