The Brew Haus is located inside the Whitecap Lodge. Our Bar & Restaurant is equipped with an outdoor patio and large fire pit featuring live music, innovate food & classic, local Maine beer.
Job Description and Requirements:
ESSENTIAL PROFESSIONAL FUNCTIONS:
· Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
· Work with Kitchen Manager to ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
· Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
· Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
· Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
· Work with ASGM in developing staff members in all areas of professional development
· Assist and advise ASGM on employee performance appraisals
· Assist and advise ASGM in scheduling appropriate staff according to volume
· Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests
· Alert Management of any required facility maintenance
· Provide advice and suggestions to Management as needed
· Other duties as assigned
RESULTS UPON WHICH PERFORMANCE IS EVALUATED:
· Completes duties in a timely manner
· Staff is well trained
· Restaurant is appropriately staffed for volume levels
· Stories of legendary service abound
· Dining area and grounds are always neat and clean
· Contributions are recognized by co-workers and peer appraisals
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to operate an electronic POS system for FOH and BOH
· Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions
· Reading and writing skills required
· Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
· Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
· Must have the stamina to work 45 +/- hours per week
