The Finance Manager Strategic Finance will with work with leaders across the Presbyterian Enterprise by acting as a thought partner/consultant, to help pro-actively solve complex problems that are occurring in todays rapidly changing healthcare environment.
This position will drive the setting of the strategy, by making recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities (make/buy or invest M&A), assessing competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, internal business process improvements, contracting opportunities (including value-based programs) and provide ad hoc support for cost accounting.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in healthcare, accounting, finance or other quantitative/related field. Masters degree preferred.
8 years healthcare industry experience specifically healthcare delivery finance, cost accounting or medical economics.
Must have EXPERT knowledge of healthcare delivery operations and direct analytics experience, including but not limited to:
make vs buy analysis, cost to deliver care, population health programs, reimbursement methodologies, payor contracting including incentive strategies and value-based reimbursement.
In addition, experience working within an integrated healthcare system is preferred.
Must demonstrate strong analytical skills/capabilities and communication skills (verbal and written).
EXPERT knowledge of healthcare industry and healthcare information standards such as ICD9/10, CPT codes, HCPCS codes, MS-DRG, ETGs, RBRVS, and, cost accounting methodologies.
Technical Skills:
Strong working knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Office products and other analytical tools such as SAS, Business Objects, Tableau etc.
Prior Business Objects, and relational databases. Experience preparing Power Point presentations/ visualization of complex information in a simplified yet powerful manner.

Responsibilities:
*Drives the setting of the strategy, by making recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities (make / buy or invest M&A), assessing competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, internal business process improvements, contracting opportunities (including value-based programs) and provide ad hoc support for cost accounting.
*Financial vet and provide financial direction for ideas from business partners including proformas. NPVs, and ROI analysis.
*Position will be the lead financial expert within Presbyterian Delivery System Ventures. Position will work closely with Ventures Leadership. Position will prepare and present financial budgets and ing to the appropriate boards and/or management committees for each business venture as needed
*Discern patterns and correlate diverse set of information, conceptualize and then translate ideas from abstract to concrete, determine appropriate level to conduct analysis, and navigate efficiently between levels of detail to transform data into an audience appropriate story that can be used to support business decisions, identify solutions to problems, or answer questions
*Proactively prioritize financial time-sensitive requests for information with finite resources
*Present complex information in a compelling/articulate format/manner and will conduct ongoing performance and analytic reviews with a cross functional teams, including senior leadership.
*Conduct research on health economic issues and trends and benchmarks. Educates internal and external customers on healthcare costs, utilization, and trends and how they relate to the effective management
*Perform, monitor and manage other ad-hoc/advance ing/analytical functions as and when needed.
*Mentor and provide training sessions to others in Finance and analytical organization as well as business partners as needed.
*Will have significant autonomy, they will direct how, what and when work is performed based on their customers needs (Senior leadership, Clinical Leadership, Ventures)
*Interaction with Director will be more conceptual, collaborative, idea brainstorming
*Work will be reviewed in depth only when requested for highly complex issues
*Will help to develop/formalize/adapt processes
