The Market Development Sr. Director will lead integrated marketing and educational strategies and tactics to support best-in-class commercialization of DUPIXENT in Atopic Dermatitis.
Key management responsibilities include developing short- and long-term initiatives that will educate the market to ensure maximum uptake of DUPIXENT in the US, while securing future growth and leadership position. Subsequently, this individual will be responsible for implementing these programs to positively impact not only HCPs, but also Payers and other key stakeholders. This position will report directly to the head of dermatology marketing, will have 2 direct report, and will have direct interface with national thought leaders, professional associations, Global Marketing, Medical Affairs, Field Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Product Communications, and agency partners.
The position requires a highly motivated individual who is able to collaborate and lead in a complex, hybrid organization, including Global/US Sanofi, and Regeneron Alliance Partners to accomplish transversal deliverables
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the disease state(s), the competitive landscape and the overall market to develop high-impact and differentiating strategies/tactics
Manage key thought leader relationships and centers of excellence mapping strategy, with corresponding engagement plan development and execution
Develop awareness-building and educational plans with ownership of specific deliverables and KPIs
Lead US national and regional congress planning and activities
Lead Commercial advisory boards to gain insights across specialties and HCP segments
Evolve key thought leader working groups and faculty to be used as core speakers
Develop peer-to-peer education strategy and programs, with corresponding outcomes measurement
Liaise with Medical leadership, RML team, Publications, Outcomes, EBM, etc. as appropriate
Drive internal and Alliance stakeholder alignment, and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams that support the brand
Manage agencies and vendors as needed to develop and execute tactical marketing and educational programs
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Basic Requirements:
Minimum Level of Job-Related Education: Bachelor’s degree
Strong business and science background, with proven ability to work with Medical experts
Successful track record in pharmaceutical marketing with 10+ years relevant experience with increasing job responsibilities
Experience in market development strategies and tactics, and experience with regulatory review/approval process
Candidates must possess the ability to proactively analyze business problems, identify key issues, develop strategic solutions, implement tactical programs, and design metrics to measure business impact.
Individual must possess the ability to build consensus in a matrix environment with multiple functional groups supporting the brand team.
Strong organizational, communication and financial/analytical skills
Ability to travel approximately 50%
Preferred Requirements:
MBA or other graduate level degree preferred
Product launch experience is preferred
Specific specialty/biologics and/or dermatology expertise is preferred
Previous supervisory experience in marketing with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, influence and lead a plus
