We’re searching for a dynamic, driven Finance and Business Operations Manager who values mastery, authenticity, and positivity to play a key role as we continuing growing our business.
This is a full-time position in either our Edmonton or Austin office. Remote candidates in North America may be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Play a leading role in our annual budget, goal setting, and financial forecast process.
Drive awareness, accountability, and operational excellence with detailed monthly financial, KPI, goal progress, and operational performance reports while providing your strategic insights.
Prepare and present rigorous opportunity assessments for our many industry, product, and geographical expansion opportunities.
Lead the entire grant lifecycle, including identifying available grants, leading grant preparation, optimizing use of available grants, and overseeing all ongoing claims and program deliverables. This will also require you being very aware of the company vision, product roadmap, and strategic plans.
Oversee all tax management, including responsibility for managing tax presence (sales, employment taxes, etc.) in multiple states and collaborating with external accountants for tax return preparation.
Oversee budget and expense management, including setting and approving expenses within a framework and identifying costs savings that don’t impact performance.

ABOUT YOU
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or an MBA
Financial or Accounting related designation (CPA, CFP, CMA, etc.) preferred
5 years of financial and business operations experience, ideally in a high growth technology company with less than 100 employees
Business savvy with elite logical problem solving abilities
Exceptional ability to analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights
Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive working independently in a high-output, evolving environment
Desire and exceptional ability to take control of major initiatives and a high level of responsibility
