Job Description- Marketing Analyst
Job Title: Marketing
The Marketing Analyst position is responsible for providing actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions. They are responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports.
This position provides detailed business analysis and support to the Marketing Department. Analysis will include sales, margin, retail pricing, and trending of both internal and market level data. In this role the individual will design, develop, and maintain reports, conduct data analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve the business. Marketing experience and analytical software skills are required.
Essential Functions
- Analyze market data to monitor performance of the marketing activities and plans.
- Utilize online market research and internal catalog findings to interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations.
- Create marketing materials, campaigns, plans and perform marketing activities for products.
- Devise, evaluate and design methods for collecting data such as surveys, questionnaires and opinion polls.
- Gather and analyze statistical data.
- Remain fully informed on market trends and implement best practices.
- Run ad hoc analysis upon request and provide actionable insights with recommendations for next steps.
- Attend marketing events, assists and supports the company’s product promotion.
- Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent working experience.
- Requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Relevant internship time considered.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with ERP or MRP systems, and mining and analyzing business data.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Google Analytics and Social Media Platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
